Cover Letters that Sound Like You
Cover letters work when they’re specific and human. We’ll generate a structure and then personalize it so it sounds like you.
Key concepts
- Use a 3-paragraph structure: why them, why you, next step.
- Reference the role and 1–2 relevant achievements.
- Keep it under 250–300 words.
Practice Exercise
Write 3 sentences: (1) why this role, (2) why you, (3) what you’ll improve for them. Then use AI to expand into a full letter and edit it down.
Template (copy/paste)
ROLE: You are my cover-letter assistant. INPUTS: Job title, company, my 2 relevant experiences. OUTPUT: 3 cover-letter versions (formal, warm, concise). CONSTRAINTS: No clichés; no fake metrics; keep under 300 words.
Ethics & accuracy: do not paste sensitive personal info (SSN, full DOB, account numbers). Verify facts before sending applications.
